Holiday visitors of both the human and feathered varieties are sure to enjoy the Christmas Cottage Birdfeeder. This fully functional bird feeder will fit right into any yuletide backyard. The decorative wreath is removable for year-round enjoyment.  Clear plastic panels on each side of the feeder keep seed levels visible.  A pine shingled roof covers the seed, protecting it from precipitation.  The roof lifts for quick and easy cleaning and filling.  A baffle at the base of the feeder directs the seed to the two openings, and help the feeder empty cleanly and completely.  A ridge on each side of the base acts as a perch and aids in keeping the seed contained in the tray.  Two holes on each side allow excess water to drain from the seed helping to keep it fresh.  The feeder comes equipped with a sturdy metal chain for hanging.

Please Note: This bird feeder is designed for outdoor use and is as functional as it is decorative. With time, this product will need to be refinished when left outdoors. The shingles will patina to a silvery color and the piece will become weathered and distressed, but continue to maintain its functionality. Should you wish to preserve the finish, you should use a polyurethane product that is recommended for marine use (UV Rated) that will not turn white paint yellow. Polyurethane should only be used wood portions.
